Take four steps that will make you clear on a career. 💻

These steps will make you clear on regaining a career.

These steps will make you clear on regaining a career.

How is your professional career doing? Is it non-existing? Do you feel it will never go anywhere? Have you become obsessed with finding some activities that entertain you while helping other people? But somehow, it is not fulfilling enough

Be clear on what you want, and make it happen.

The way to live satisfying lives is to dream up WHAT we want to do and then MAKE it happen. A simple statement, but How do you put it into practice?

Well, this is what I was asking myself back in 2007 when we moved to Singapore.

Toru, my husband, was commuting from Singapore to Bangkok because of his job. So then, I had to make a plan to have a balanced family life. I took a lot of decisions prioritizing our children’s education, and following the simple steps that I will share with you, I fully understand what I wanted to do.

Do you want to take the steps and be mentally prepared to accomplish your goals?

First, find yourself in a quiet place and ensure you with paper and a pen to write things down.

Brainstorm ideas

For the next ten to fifteen minutes, write down all the things you’d like to do. Don’t evaluate as you write! If you’d like to start earning while creating your new professional career – don’t stop and think about whether you can afford to invest in it. Just write it down. Evaluation can occur later. At this stage, write down all that you want.

Prioritize ideas

When you have finished brainstorming, you will have a list of ideal projects you would like to do. Your next step is to review your list and sort it into priority order. Again, do not evaluate any of these items while you are ranking them. Number the items from things you want most to least.

Evaluate ideas

Now, look at the top three items on your list and ask yourself the question: “What is stopping me from doing these things? It will help to clarify things if you write down these reasons. For example, if your number one choice is to start earning while creating your new professional career, your reasons for not doing it could be: don’t have time, can’t leave my family unattended, or afraid I won’t follow it through.

Create an action plan for your career

Your final step in this process is to put your plan into action – and do it now! Don’t wait for a more suitable time – the best time is always NOW!

However, don’t let your big plans stop you from doing some of your manageable tasks now. Pick a couple of activities you can do within the next month that won’t cost you much time. DO THEM! You will feel like a different person for having done so.

I decided to continue my education online to be a present mum. It was a good decision, seeing how well-balanced our life was. I did not put aside the idea of having a professional career. I invested my time and money into my training and education to be ready when the time was right.

Is it now the right time for you? I am sure it is! Start your digital training to regain your professional career.
